The competition will take place in the Exaltation of the Holy Cross Church in Dolný Kubín, Slovakia on Thomas Jann organ from 2014. 


COMPETITION RULES AND REGULATIONS

The competition is open to candidates from all countries whose age does not exceed 28 years on the first day of the competition (i.e. those born on or after 10th of October 1994).

The competition has only one category and is a two-round with a pre-selection round in form of video-recording.

Pieces for the pre-selection round: 

1. Johann Sebastian Bach: In dir ist Freude BWV 615
2. Olivier Messiaen: Les Bergers (La Nativité du Seigneur)
or

Les eaux de la Grâce (Les Corps glorieux)

Deadline for the delivery of the video-recordings is July 15th 2023

Only video-recordings on real pipe organ will be accepted, Hauptwerk recordings are not allowed. Together with the video-recording a complete disposition of the instrument must be sent to the above-mentioned email address. 


ROUND 1

1. One of the following pieces:

Johann Sebastian Bach: Trio super Allein Gott in der Höh sei Ehr, BWV 664

or

Trio super Herr Jesu Christ, dich zu uns wend' BWV 655

or

Christ, unser Herr, zum Jordan kam BWV 684

or

first movement of a Trio sonata BWV 525, 526, 527, 528, 529, 530

2. One piece composed after 1840

Total time of both pieces must not exceed 18 minutes.


ROUND 2 - FINAL
